With a calming but encouraging manner, Dr Chen believes in a gentle approach to dental care and although she is passionate about helping patients of all ages, she is particularly enthusiastic about encouraging children and adolescents to develop excellent oral health habits to set them up for life.
In her spare time Huei enjoys hiking or running and when she’s feeling a little less energetic, you’ll find her curled up with a good book.

Dr Huei Chen
Graduating from the University of Melbourne, Dr Chen worked in Bendigo for a year where she enjoyed the country lifestyle before returning to Melbourne for a further 7 years, then relocating to Hobart in 2020.
Enjoying the variety of general dentistry and finding the best treatment options for her patients, Dr Chen quickly established trusting and meaningful relationships with her patients in her first year at Dr Chau’s. Huei appreciates the importance of a healthy mouth and beautiful smile, and has also developed a keen interest in orthodontics.
